Celebrating 24 Years of Tradition at Regency Place Elementary
The Lion Stampede is a long-standing RP tradition and the PTO’s primary annual fundraiser. Over the past 24 years, it has grown into a multi-week celebration filled with school spirit, friendly competition, and community involvement.
Join us on Friday, May 1, 2026 for Regency Place Elementary’s biggest event of the year! The Lion Stampede is a full day of fun and community featuring:

Our goal is to raise funds to support 2026–2027 field trips, online subscriptions, curriculum resources, and grade-level projects that promote hands-on learning.
Every dollar raised benefits EVERY student and staff member at Regency Place Elementary.

PRE-STAMPEDE EVENTS
Students bring $1 (or more!) to purchase strips of tape to tape the principal to the wall. Every student receives a peppermint stick-a sweet and sticky tradition students love!
A school-wide penny war:
Each grade level has a jug.
Add coins to your grade’s jug to increase your total.
Add dollar bills to other grades’ jugs to subtract from their totals.
The winning grade level gets to help decide the Stampede T-shirt design!
Students kick off Stampede season with a high-energy rally:
Auction and Raffle items are revealed
Prize tiers are introduced
Pledge packets are sent home
School spirit is in full swing!
In March, Following the pep rally, students will bring home Pledge Packets (see 2025-2026 packets HERE)
Students will raise funds to earn different tiers of prizes
Tier 1: $25 Stampede T-shirt
Tier 2: $50 Pizza Party (pizza party held at school)
Tier 4: $100 Foam Party (foam party held at school in April)
Tier 5: $125 Boom Boom Pow (Field trip to Impact Gymnastics in May)
In April, students bring home Ticket Packets to pre-pay for tickets for Stampede Night. By pre-paying, families can avoid the long line, guarantee treats, and save money on the carnival wrist bands.
Carnival Game Wrist Bands: $15 pre-pay ($20 night of)
Treats (could include: ice cream, popcorn, cookies, cotton candy): Supplies are limited so purchase ahead of time!
Raffle tickets: Purchase in advance to avoid having to wait in line.
DAY OF STAMPEDE EVENTS
Fun Run: Each grade level runs the walking path during the school day. Students earn a popsicle stick for every lap and aim for their personal best! Parents are welcome to come watch and cheer them on.
Bounce House: Students enjoy time bouncing with their friends. Each grade level is assigned a time (usually after the run). Parent volunteers help sypervise.
Candy Walk: A classic cake-walk-style game where students win candy prizes.
ALL students participate in day of stampede events regardless of money raised
NIGHT OF STAMEDE EVENTS
Carnival Games: Students can purchase individual tickets or a wrist band for unlimited games and activities. We have all types of carnival games!!
Online Auction: Check out the online auction link to view and place bids. The auction runs all week, bids accepted through the event and winners are announced at the end of the night!
Raffle: Browse raffle options in the gym. Put your raffle tickets in for a chance to win special experiences with teachers and the principal. Raffle tickets can be purchased in advance or during the event.
Food and Treats: We are excited to welcome The Melt Food Truck! There will also be extra treats (may include: cookies, ice cream, and more).

What Day is Stampede?
A: Stampede is traditionally held the FIRST FRIDAY in May. For 2025-2026, it will be held on May 1, 2026
What is the Jug Challenge?
A: The jug challenge is traditionally run the week of the Stampede Pep Rally. It is a Penny War- Each grade level will have a jug: The object is to get as many coins in the container to win. Other grades can subtract from the coin totals by depositing dollars. The winning grade level will get to decide on the Stampede T-shirt design.
What are Estimation Jars?
A: This is a fun game that is played for each grade level. Jars are filled with candy and student guess how much candy is in each jar. The winning guess gets to keep the jar and candy!
Where does the money raised go?
A: The Stampede funds the PTO budget. These funds are critical to provide support for field trips, support teachers, assist with educational subscriptions, fund family events such as dances and swim parties, and so much more. You see our budget information HERE

How can I get involved?
